William John Pfingsten passed away on Saturday evening, September 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 03, 1927, in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania.  William was the youngest of three sons and daughter of Hubert and Christine (Lamoreaux) Pfingsten. He had two brothers, Donald Pfingsten and Hubert Pfingsten, and a sister, Betty Schultz.  His lone surviving brother Hubert lives in Dallas, Pennsylvania.

Surviving are his sons, William Pfingsten, Leesburg, Florida; Ronald Pfingsten, Davenport, Florida; and Michael Pfingsten, Boyertown, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Danielle and Cassidy Pfingsten, and Johnathan and Jeffrey Pfingsten; his great grandchild, Brianna Pfingsten.

He was married for 43 years to Dorothy (Heffern) Pfingsten who passed away in July of 1995.  He had spent the remaining years of his life from 1999 to 2015 with his soulmate and lifelong friend, Genny Dotter.

He graduated from Swoyersville High School in 1945, and served his country in the Army from 1945 to 1949.  He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company from February 1949 to 1980 as a Quality Inspector.

William loved the outdoors and his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and staying at what he lovingly called “Bill’s Chalet”, his mountain retreat in Dallas, PA.  Another favorite pastime was playing cards with family and friends, and taking walks and spending time with his second love Genny Dotter. He will be deeply missed by his sons and his friend and companion Genny.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend William’s Blessing Service which will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 7:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend Anthony M. Urban, officiating.

Family and Friends are invited to attend William’s viewing on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
