William D. Jacobs, 71, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, following a brief illness.
Born on April 15, 1944, in Pittston, William was the son of the late John and Eleanor (Tompkins) Jacobs.
Prior to his retirement, William was employed for nearly 20 years as a driver for Roth Novelty Company, Wilkes-Barre. Additionally, he was the owner of the former Coral Lounge, Swoyersville, for 11 years.
In addition to parents, John and Eleanor Jacobs, William was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Richard, Ned, and Harry Jacobs; his infant brother, George Jacobs; his sisters, Betty Simmons and Clara Roberts.
William is survived by his children Kevin Jacobs, William Jacobs, Mary Ann Skok, and Beth Ann Howells; his brother, Walter Jacobs; his sister, Judy Jacobs; his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with William’s wishes there will be no public viewing or service.
