Vincent S. Dula, 63, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 05, 2015, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born on November 08, 1951, in Kingston, Vincent was the son of the late Vincent S. Dula Sr. and Helen (Kester) Dula.
Raised in Swoyersville, Vincent was a graduate of the former Central Catholic High School, Kingston.
A United States Navy veteran, Vincent honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his early retirement, Vincent was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company, now UGI Utilities, at their Wilkes-Barre location.
Vincent was a longtime member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville.
An avid train enthusiast, Vincent had a great interest in trains his entire life.
Family was the most important part of Vincent’s life, and he treasured every moment he had with his loved ones. Although his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Vincent and Helen Dula, Vincent was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Vincent is survived by his sisters, Elaine Ammons and her husband Blane, Delaware; Joanne Post and her husband, Robert, Plains Township; and Michelle Hullihen and her husband, Frank, Dallas; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Monday, November 09, 2015, at 9:15 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, with Monsignor John J. Sempa, Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dallas, where Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Navy.
