Thomas “Tim” Kavinski, 58, a resident of Luzerne, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, July 10, 2013, at his home.
Born on November 04, 1954, in Passaic, New Jersey, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas and Helen (Trabish) Kavinski.
For many years, Tim resided in California before moving to Pennsylvania.
Tim honorably served his country with the Marine Corps and was employed for a number of years in the construction business.
A proud veteran, Tim was an active member of the American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville, where he volunteered many hours of his time. The rest of his time was spent with his beloved daughter, Amanda, who was the love of his life!
An avid bike rider, Tim would often be seen riding his bike through the streets of Swoyersville and Luzerne.
Tim was loved by all his family and friends and his presence will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Thomas and Helen Kavinski, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Ronald Kavinski.
Tim is survived by his loving children, Amanda Kavinski, of Swoyersville; Jennifer Peiler-Williams, of San Diego, California; and Joseph Kavinski and his wife Lillianah, of San Diego, California; his four beautiful grandsons who reside in California.
Tim is also survived by his brothers, Gerald Kavinski, of Swoyersville and David Kavinski, of North Bergen, New Jersey; his sisters, Dorothy Kavinski, of Swoyersville; Diane Lugo and her husband John, of Passaic, New Jersey; Patricia Kavinski, of Garfield, New Jersey; and his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Blessing Service which will be celebrated on Monday evening, July 15, 2013, at 6:30 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend Anthony M. Urban, family friend, officiating.
Interment will be privately held in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
