Thomas ‘Tomcat’ Conrad, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away in his sleep peacefully at home on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Tommy is now together with his beloved Tamison Snow.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, the late Louis J. Conrad Jr. Surviving is his loving mother, Philomena Cassidy Conrad. He is also survived by brothers Paul, Wilkes Barre; Glenn and his wife, Michelle, Broken Arrow OK; Christopher and his wife Mary, and their daughter, Ava, Wilkes Barre; Timothy and his wife Christine, and their children, Christian, Jonah, Josiah, Evangeline, Zechariah, and Naomi, Kingston; and sister, Colleen Conrad and companion, Jose Hidalgo, San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jesus was Thomas’s Lord. He was actively involved at City Lights Church with Pastor Jacob Johnson, Wilkes Barre. He also had deep love for his California Pastors, Ed and Sherri Gutfeld, Victory Christian Center, San Rafael.
Tom was lovingly referred to as ‘Tomcat’ by all of his family and friends. This nickname was given to him by a little girl who attended church with him after he blew up a storm on his harmonica. When he finished, she pulled on his coat lapel and told him, “you’re a real Tomcat on that harmonica, you’re Tomcat!”
Tom was born December 5th, 1953, in Oakland CA at the Oak Knoll Navy Hospital. Tom was a graduate of Meyers High School, the class of 71. He was an artist, innovator, and the CEO of Thomas Conrad Decorating. Known as Twyn Entity in London England, Tom was an accomplished musician, arranger, and producer. Tom Cat was a prolific bass player, songwriter, and music composer. His band of brothers, Christopher and Timothy “Das Conrad” sold out venues throughout America, Canada, and London, England. Tom was also involved in other various music projects, working alongside many lifelong friends.
Tom Cat, with psychedelic “Woodstock” proficiency, lived more than 9 lives in his “summer of love” 67 years!
A venerable statesman, Tombo gave his last performance on harmonica for the staff at the medical facility where he last stayed. Thomas returned home on May 10th to be with his family.
He is now forever at peace with Tamison. Our dearest son, brother, friend, and poet…
