Theodore Klutchko, 91, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021, at his home.
His loving wife is Ellen (Kolis) Klutchko, with whom Theodore shared 64 years of marriage.
Born on May 27, 1929, in Wilkes-Barre, Theodore was one of nine children born to the late Sylvester Klutchko Sr. and Mary (Stchur) Klutchko.
Raised in Wilkes-Barre, Theodore was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School.
After high school, Ted served in the United States Air Force.
Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Theodore found employment as a tool and die maker for the former Kanarr Corporation, Pringle. Thereafter, he worked as a machinist for R & H Manufacturing, Inc., Edwardsville. Theodore was a member of the Boilermakers Union, Local Lodge 677.
A selfless and caring man, Theodore always put others before himself. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a member of the Dallas congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.
In addition to his parents, Sylvester and Mary Klutchko, Theodore was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Sherwood, who passed away on October 07, 2018; his brothers, Walter, John, and Joseph Klutchko; and his sisters, Anna McMullen and Natalie Perkins.
In addition to his wife Ellen, Theodore is survived by his children, David Klutchko and wife Kay, of Harveys Lake; Deborah Cizmar and husband, John, of Dallas; his grandsons Mark Klutchko, and Matthew Sherwood and wife, Hannah; his siblings, Sylvester Klutchko Jr., of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Marie Dutko, of Wilkes-Barre, and Dolores Dzury, of Vestal, New York; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service was held on Friday, followed by burial in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
