Stephen J. “Putter” Podskoch, 77, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life, surrounded by his loved ones, on Monday evening, September 21, 2026, at the home of his daughter, Kristen Bolin, in Wyoming, following a lengthy illness.

Born on July 16, 1949, in Wilkes-Barre, Stephen was one of four children born to the late Joseph S. Podskoch and Johanna “Jennie” Dombroski Podskoch.

Prior to his retirement, Stephen was employed for over 30 years as a lineman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 1319, Kingston.

Stephen was a social member of the Swoyersville American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville, and was also a member of the Paradise Social Club, Swoyersville.

Finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, Stephen was an avid motorcycle and car enthusiast who enjoyed taking rides on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle or in his Corvette. Above all else, he was happiest spending time with his loved ones and was so very proud of his daughters and grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Joseph and Jennie, Stephen was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Francis Podskoch; and his sister, Elaine Lowcavage.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stephanie Jones, Exeter; and Kristen Bolin, Wyoming; his four grandsons, Brady and Roman Jones; and Oliver and Lukas Bolin; his former wife, Nancy Fancher, who lovingly cared for Stephen during his illness; a niece, a nephew, and many friends.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff from Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the kind and compassionate care they bestowed upon Stephen during his time of need.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Stephen’s services which will begin with a memorial visitation on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with a Memorial Blessing Service to be celebrated at 3:00 PM by Monsignor John J. Sempa, Pastor of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Parish, West Pittston and Exeter.

A private family burial service will be held in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
