Scott A. Protheroe, 55, a resident of Kingston, passed away on Monday evening, January 12, 2015, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.Born on June 17, 1959, in Kingston, Scott was the son of the late Elwood K. Protheroe and Doris E. (Riefenstahl) Protheroe.Scott was a graduate of Dallas Area High School, Class of 1977.Prior to his illness, Scott had been employed as an equipment operator for H and K Group, Skippack, Pennsylvania.Scott will be remembered for the love he had for his beloved cats, and also for being a great Nascar fan.In addition to his parents, Elwood and Doris Protheroe, Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Steven James Protheroe, who passed while serving in the U.S. Army; and his infant sister, Marcy Protheroe.Scott is survived by his loving partner of 33 years, Sandie Witkowski, Kingston; his siblings, Susan Hildenbrand, Danville; Sheryl Willauer, Plains Township; Shawn Protheroe, Plains Township; and Sally Evans, Mountaintop; many nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Blessing Service which will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 12:30 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Deacon John E.
