Ronald A. Jones, 74, a resident of Pringle, passed into eternal life on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
His loving wife is Patricia A. (Podolak) Jones. Together, Ron and Patricia celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on September 20th.
Born on November 29, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, Ronald was one of four children born to the late Hugh Thomas Jones and Ruth (Cann) Jones Davenport.
Raised in Kingston, Ron was a graduate of the former Kingston High School, Class of 1964.
Prior to his retirement in September 2012, Ron was employed as a fleet manager for Kane Trucking, Taylor.
Ron was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Larksville, and volunteered at its annual bazaar. He was also an active member of the Back Mountain Jaycees for many years.
An avid golfer, Ron was a member of Four Seasons Golf Club, Exeter. Over the years, he enjoyed golfing at his favorite destination, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Above all, Ron’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his loved ones, most especially his grandchildren – they were the light of his life.
In addition to his parents, Hugh and Ruth, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Hugh Thomas Jones III; his sister, Jill A. Jones; and his sister-in-law, Madalyn Podolak Mayerski.
In addition to his loving wife, Patricia, Ron is survived by his devoted son, Jason Jones and his wife, Susan, Exeter; his two beloved grandchildren, Kelsey and Mason Jones; his brother, Jack Jones and his wife, Estelle, Virginia; his two step-sisters, Sandy Roberts Holleran and Darlene Keiper; his brother in-law, Paul Podolak and his wife Cathy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation which will be held on Friday, December 03, 2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
Memorial Funeral Services will begin on Friday morning at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Blessing Service at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Mount Olivet Cemetery, 612 Mount Olivet Road, Wyoming, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be bestowed at the conclusion of the blessing service, followed by burial in the family lot.
