Romaine “Nan” Nenichka, 79, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday afternoon, March 30, 2015, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.Her loving husband is George D. “Dave” Nenichka. Together, Dave and Romaine celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on February 27th.Born on December 23, 1935, in Forty Fort, Romaine was the daughter of the late George and Jennie (Urban) Hudanick.Prior to her retirement, Romaine was employed for many years as a seamstress for Leslie Fay Fashions, Kingston. She held membership with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.A faithful Catholic, Romaine was a longtime member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish, Luzerne. Over the past few years, she had been attending Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.A woman of many enjoyments, Romaine especially enjoyed playing bingo, going to the Mohegan Sun Casino, and taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City. She also enjoyed bargain hunting at Hometown and the local rummage sales.Romaine was a talented seamstress who loved making things for her family and friends. She was also an avid baker, and was famous for her signature dessert, “Nanny’s Apple Pies,” which she would share with her loved ones.Above all, Romaine was a generous, kind-hearted woman, who was always willing to help anyone who was in need. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment she had with her loved ones. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.In addition to her parents, George and Jennie Hudanick, Romaine was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Edward and Robert Hudanick; her sisters, Elaine Jones and Jeanie Kraynak.In addition to her husband, Dave, Romaine is survived by her children, Patricia Brown and her husband, Gary, Mountaintop; Donna Savoca, Swoyersville; and David Nenichka, Swoyersville; her grandchildren, Brooke Casey and her husband, Joseph; Gary Jay Brown II and his wife, Kayla; and Vinny Savoca; her sisters, Lorraine Skirmont, Mary Ellen Audi, Dorothy Rinko, and Maureen Kopec; her “Grand-Dog,” Dexter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, April 01, 2015, at 10:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J.
