Everyone from L Dock will miss "Sailboat" Bob. We will hold him in fond remembrance. From Hurricane Isabella where he and Ray held a vigil and took dinghy rides in the parking lot. To the Incident at Swan Creek! Bob could always be counted on. Paul W. Gavazzi

I was so sad to learn the news of Bob's passing. He was a great colleague who helped me and so many others over the years at General Dynamics. I learned a great deal from him, primarily from his example. We'll keep his whole family in our prayers and Bob in our memories always. Bill Scaring

I had the pleasure of working with Bob many years ago. A genuinely good man. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. I know he touched the lives of many people, Bob was the kind of person you were thankful to know. May the memory of his friendship comfort us all. Mike Walker

Bob was a really great guy! We worked together for a long time, almost 12 years. Working in the IT arena with such a diverse group of teams and individuals is always a challenge. However, Bob was always gracious, patient, and professional. He will be sorely missed. Peace to his family and friends. Jim Gironda

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We worked together at Trident Data Systems over 20 years ago, and he was always a pleasure to work with. One of the smartest people I've met during my career, and also one of the nicest. He truly never had a harsh word to say about anyone. He's going to be missed by so many. My deepest condolences to the family. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. -- Jean Cochrane
Scott Garrison left a message on July 5, 2018:
Bob was my technical lead with GD. His quite disposition was well respected by many contractors, military and Govt employees. When asked a question he would pause a moment before answering and then ask what have you tried so far? Bob would teach the team instead of just giving us the answer. I have approached many things in life thinking how Bob may approach. Bob made a positive impact on my life and I have always appreciated Bob’s quite, confident and calm nature. May god bless you Bob and your family. Scott Garrison

I was so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. We were co-workers and friends back at Trident Data Systems. Bob was a sharp, funny, hard-working, and super-nice guy, loved and respects by everyone who knew him. I have many fond memories of him, both at work and outside of work, and always regretted that we lost touch after I moved to another state. Please pass on my condolences to his family and other friends...the world has lost one of the good ones. RIP, my friend... Craig
