Robert Billett, 77, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 19, 2014, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Louise (Gavlick) Billett.
Born on September 30, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre, Robert was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Loch) Billett.
Prior to his retirement, Robert worked for 10 years as a security guard for Wilkes University. In his earlier years, he was employed in the local construction industry, working for various contractors.
Robert served his country as a reservist with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, 109th Infantry Division.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 10:30 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
At Robert’s request, the viewing will be held privately for the immediate family members only.
