Richard Kormos, 64, of Swoyersville, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 10, 2015, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.Born on August 14, 1950, in Kingston, Rick was the son of the late John and Leona (Kostic) Kormos.Rick graduated from the former Central Catholic High School in Kingston and Kings College.During his lifetime he was employed at Luzerne Products, Martz Trailways, and Misericordia University. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville. His retirement was filled with all the things he loved. He was an avid photographer, a history buff, and a Civil War enthusiast. He worked out at least 5 days a week at the gym…probably to work off the last bag of M&M’s. Fun filled family trips were always on the agenda, especially to Longwood Gardens where he would get inspiration for his landscaping skills. His love of gardening was evidenced by the variety of beautiful plants and flowers that surrounded his house and yard, and by his garden which supplied family, friends, and neighbors with the best tomatoes in town. It was not unusual for his sister-in-law to come home from work to find Rick decorating her front yard with spring and summer blooms.Rick had a good soul and will be forever missed by his wife of 32 years, the former Diane Stanks, and his daughter, Lora.Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by his future son-in-law, John Stanish; his sister Patricia Wright; and a multitude of in-laws, nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 10:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J.
