Peggy A. Trudgen, 92, a resident of Kingston, passed away early Monday morning, January 28, 2019, at the Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where she had been a guest since August.
Her beloved husband was the late Leroy L. Trudgen who passed away on December 05, 2008. Together, Leroy and Peggy shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on April 21, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, Peggy was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Esther (Hartman) Kropp.
Raised in Kingston, Peggy was a graduate of the former Kingston High School, Class of 1945.
Prior to her retirement, Peggy was employed by Valley Plastics Inc., Forty Fort.
Peggy was a member of Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston.
An avid reader, crossword puzzle solver, and knitter, Peggy was also an excellent baker who was famous for her homemade fudge and Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, and watching her favorite soap opera, “General Hospital”.
Peggy’s family was the center of her life and she treasured every moment she shared with her loved ones. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Charles and Esther Kropp, and her husband, Leroy, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, William R. Kropp.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Lee Trudgen and his wife, Ruby, Wilmington, North Carolina; and April Lyn Oatridge and her husband, Robert, Dallas; her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Williams, Kingston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and aides at the Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre, for the excellent care they bestowed upon Peggy during her time of need.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Peggy’s Funeral Service which will be celebrated on Saturday, February 02, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Pastor Bruce Gowe of Dorranceton United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
Family and Friends are invited to Peggy’s viewing which will be held on Friday, February 01, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
