Patrick J. Mazzaccaro, affectionately known as “Pat Mazz”, age 77, a resident of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning January 17, 2017, at his home.
His loving wife is Karen (Krogulski) Mazzaccaro. Together, Pat and Karen celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary March 8, 2016.
Born on December 13, 1939, in Old Forge, Pat was the son of Mary (Febbo) Mazzaccaro Yaniello and the late Patrick Mazzaccaro.
Pat was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1957.
Prior to his retirement, Pat was employed for 25 years as the meat and seafood director for the former Insalaco Markets.
Pat was a member of Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church, Shavertown.
In his earlier years, Pat was a musician, most notably playing the cordovox in the band “Trail Riders”. Also in his earlier years he was active in little league and football.
Pat had a great love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a diehard fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions and was a season ticket holder for many years.
After his retirement, Pat enjoyed traveling with his wife to many different places in their RV. By far his favorite place to visit was the Florida Keys where he enjoyed boating on the Florida coastline.
Pat had a great love for his family and he cherished every moment he had with his loved ones. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he was always there to support them at all of their sporting events and special functions. He will certainly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Karen, and his mother, Mary, Pat is survived by his children, Robin Powers, Mountaintop; Kelly Maniskas and her husband, Jay, Dallas; Tammy Schmidt and her husband, Robert, Toronto, Canada; Denise Rinaldi and her husband, Vito, Dallas; Patrick Mazzaccaro and his wife, Mary Margaret, Duryea; and Laurie Mazzaccaro, Dupont; his grandchildren, Timothy, Rachel, Olivia, Robert, Michael, Vito, Dominic, and Brianna; his sister, Rosemary Graziano, Old Forge; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 12:15 PM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 1:00 PM in Saint Therese Church, 64 Davis Street, Shavertown, with the Reverend James J. Paisley, his Pastor, officiating.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Friday, January 20, 2017, from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM, at the funeral home.
