Michael J. Lesso, 68, a resident of the Lyndwood section of Hanover Township, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 05, 2017, at his home.

His loving wife is Phyllis (Kauperchinsky) Lesso. Together, Michael and Phyllis celebrated their 23^rd wedding anniversary on October 15^th.

Born on September 01, 1949, in Scranton, Michael was one of six children born to the late Andrew and Alice (Joyce) Lesso.

Michael was a graduate of the Scranton School District, and he resided in the Wilkes-Barre area since 1977.

A United States Marine veteran, Michael honorably served his country during the Vietnam era.

Michael was employed in the financial industry for 39 years. In 1998, he established Pennsylvania Funding Inc., Kingston, serving as the company’s president and CEO until his retirement in 2012.

Michael was a member of the Kingston Rotary Club, serving as it past president.

In addition to his parents, Andrew and Alice Lesso, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Michele Costello.

In addition to his wife, Phyllis, Michael is survived by his daughter, Deborah Babinski, Florida; his brothers, Andrew Lesso Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada; and Paul Lesso, Scanton; his sisters, Joyce DeLappi, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Anna Rose Borgia, Scranton; his two grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.

Private Funeral Services have been held.
