Matilda “Tillie” Dorman, 81, a former resident of Swoyersville and currently a guest at Kingston Manor, Kingston, passed away early Friday morning, April 25, 2014, at Kindred Hospital of the Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.
Her beloved husband was the late William F. Dorman, Sr. , who passed away on September 15, 1987.
Born on January 16, 1933, in Swoyersville, Tillie was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Kubick) Rabada.
Raised in Swoyersville, Tillie was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School.
Tillie was a homemaker most of her life who lovingly tended to the daily needs of her family.
A faithful Catholic, Tillie was a longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville, where she once served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Tillie was also a past member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Tillie had many enjoyments in life, especially playing bingo, decorating and crafting. One of her best characteristics was her smile and many would comment on how beautiful her smile was.
In addition to her parents, Michael and Elizabeth Rabada, and her husband, William, Tillie was preceded in death by her son, William F. Dorman, Jr.
Tillie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Spickerman and her husband Fred, Springville; her son, Jeff Dorman, Kingston; her daughter-in-law, Karin Dorman, Springville; her grandchildren, Katy, Brittany, Tony, Kayla and Derek; her great-grandchildren; her sister, Martha Dorman, Swoyersville; as well as her other children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 10:00 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
