Mary Ostrowski, 77, a resident of West Wyoming, passed into eternal life early Wednesday morning, September 27, 2017, at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Her beloved husband was the late Ronald Ostrowski, who passed away on April 19, 2007.
Born on May 14, 1940, in West Wyoming, Mary was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline Dixon.
Mary was a graduate of the former West Wyoming High School
A devoted homemaker most of her life, Mary also assisted in the operation of her family’s business, Ron Ostrowski Auto Sales, Wyoming. She also worked part-time in her sister’s family business, the former Snyder’s Hardware Store, Wyoming.
Mary was a past member of the former Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Wyoming. Following the closing of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, where she greatly enjoyed assisting with the pierogi making for parish fundraisers and its annual bazaar.
Family was the center of Mary’s life and she treasured every moment she shared with her loved ones. Mary held a very special bond with her sister, Dorothy Snyder, and her grandchildren, Ron and Megan, were truly the light of her life.
The Ostrowski Family wishes to extend their most sincere thanks to Dr. David Greenwald, Dr. Michael Kovalick, and the nurses, aides and staff at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for the outstanding care they all provided Mary during her time of need.
Mary is survived by her sons, Ron Ostrowski and his wife, Lori, Shavertown; and Joseph Ostrowski and his wife, Kathleen, Loyalville; her two grandchildren, Ron Ostrowski III and Megan Ostrowski; and her grand-puppy, Sunshine.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 9:30 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Wyoming.
At Mary’s request, there will be no public calling hours.
Funeral Arrangements for the Ostrowski Family have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
