Martha E. Dorman, 85, a lifelong resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Holy Thursday, April 02, 2015, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.Her loving husband is Fred A. Dorman. Fred and Martha would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 30th.Born on February 15, 1930, in Swoyersville, Martha was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Kubick) Rabada.Martha was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1947.Prior to her retirement, Martha was employed for twenty years as a waitress for the Midway Diner, formerly of Wyoming. In her earlier years, she was employed in the local garment industry.As her children were growing up, she was a dedicated homemaker, tending to the daily needs of her home and family.A faithful Catholic, Martha was a lifelong member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville, where she was past member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society and Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.Martha also held membership with the Ladies of the Assumpta of the Knights of Columbus, Assumpta Council 3987, Luzerne.Martha had a great love and devotion for her family, and her loved ones were her main focus throughout her life. She felt blessed to maintain a close relationship with each of her grandchildren. Although her presence will be greatly missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.In addition to her parents, Michael and Elizabeth Rabada, Martha was preceded in death by her beloved son, Paul Dorman, who passed away on February 21, 2003; her only sister, Matilda “Tillie” Dorman; and her brother-in-law, William Dorman.In addition her husband, Fred, Martha is survived by her children, John Dorman and his wife, Nancy, Larksville; and Mary Ann Kuren and her husband, Thomas, Larksville; her grandchildren, Sara Dorman Lauri and her husband, Nick; Neil Dorman, Joel Dorman, Thomas Kuren Jr., and Patrick Kuren; her nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Tuesday, April 07, 2015, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J.
