Marion “Mimi” Holub Dietz, 74, a resident of Exeter, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 24, 2015, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Her loving husband is Christopher Dietz. Together, Marion and Christopher celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on June 25th.
Born on December 04, 1940 in Swoyersville, Marion was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Yurchision) Grega.
Raised in Swoyersville, Marion was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School.
Prior to her retirement, Marion was employed for many years as a baker and cook for the Wyoming Seminary Upper School, Kingston.
A woman of great faith, Marion was a member of the Wyoming Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Hudson.
Marion had many enjoyments in life, especially, baking, knitting, and going to flea markets. By far, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, John and Anna Grega, Marion was preceded in death by her brothers, Peter and John Grega; and her sisters, Anna Dunay and Elizabeth “Betty” Kabara.
In addition to her husband, Christopher, Marion is survived by her sister, Patricia Holzschuh, Mehoopany; her Goddaughter and “Weekend Daughter”, Donna Dunay Sherrill, Swoyersville; and her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Pastor Alex Dubee of the Hamburg Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
