Mrs. Marie M. Yeraska entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at her home in Augusta, Georgia.
Marie lived most so her life in Swoyersville. She had been an active and dedicated member of the Women's Auxiliary of the former Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, Kingston for many years. She also volunteered for the American Legion Hospital workers and served in many positions. She enjoyed gardening and needlepoint.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome F. Yeraska, and was his caretaker for many years. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Joseph Yonkoski; her sisters, Virginia Shirley Sheridan and Anna Mae Glance; her brother, Joseph Yonkoski; and many aunts, uncles, and loved cousins of the Yonkoski and Stephens families.
Marie is survived by her sister, Barbara Austin-Marcotte, and her brother-in-law, Jerry Marcotte, and their children: nephew, Christopher Wm. Austin, and 3 step nephews Tom, Jerry and Pete, and one step niece, Anne; 5 other nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces and nephews; and lastly, her dog, Pixie, whom she loved.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne, with the Reverend Michael J. Zipay, Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming.
There will be no public calling hours.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
