Burk, who passed away on February 28, 2011. Together, Bill and Midge shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, 47 of them at their home on Chase Road. Though very different, they complemented each other very well. She was the sugar, and he was the spice. Two of their more memorable trips were when they traveled to Bermuda and Hawaii with Marguerite’s brother and sister-in-law.Marguerite and Bill enjoyed entertaining, and Christmas was always a festive and joyous time in their home. Being highly patriotic, the 4th of July was another favorite holiday, and they hosted a party every year to mark the occasion. One of her favorite pastimes was watching baseball with her husband, as they were both great fans of the Philadelphia Phillies. Together with their children and grandchildren, they enjoyed many trips to the former Veterans Stadium to root on their favorite team in person.Family was the center of Marguerite’s life and she treasured every moment she had with her loved ones. A doting grandmother, she always held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.
