Margaret “Marge” (Troyan) Budzyn, 96, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday evening, January 15, 2017, at the home of her daughter, Louise Giampa, in Kingston.
Her beloved husband was the late Louis E. Budzyn, who passed away on July 24, 2003. Together, Lou and Marge were blessed with 56 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on August 28, 1920, in Swoyersville, Marge was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Anna (Novak) Troyan.
Marge was a lifelong resident of Swoyersville until 2 ½ years ago when she went to live with her daughter, Louise Giampa, in Kingston.
A devoted homemaker most of her life, Marge lovingly tended to the daily needs of her home and family. Before she and her husband started their family, Marge was employed by the former United Pants Factory, Swoyersville.
Marge was a faithful Catholic and a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish, Luzerne. Prior to its closing, she was a lifelong member of the former Saint John Nepomucene Church, Luzerne.
In addition to her parents, Michael and Anna Troyan, and her husband, Lou, Marge was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Pacana and Rita Lampman.
Marge is survived by her four daughters, Ann Marie Mehm and her husband, Pat, Kingston; Patricia Maida and her husband, Tony, Ruther Glen, Virginia; Lorraine Gieda and her husband, Joe, Carlsbad, California; and Louise Giampa and her husband, Keith, Kingston; her six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint John Nepomucene Roman Catholic Cemetery, Courtdale.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
