Lois Yatsko, 79, a resident of West Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Friday morning, August 09, 2024, in the comfort of her home.
She is reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, her husband, Joseph A. Yatsko, who passed away on December 28, 1980. Joseph and Lois were married in 1964, sharing16 years together.
Born on February 04, 1945, in Kingston, Lois was one of six children born to the late Julius Rukstalis and Anna Stuchko Rukstalis.
Raised in Kingston, Lois was a graduate of the former Kingston High School, Class of 1963. Later, she went on to attend the former McCann School of Business, where, in 1989, she acquired her associates degree in business.
Prior to her retirement, Lois was employed by Prudential Financial, Montage Mountain, Moosic, and, in her earlier years, was employed in the local garment industry.
After retiring, Lois devoted her life to being an amazing grandmother to her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, teaching them all about the greatest lessons in life, offering her endless support, and, most importantly, always being there when she needed most. No family gathering was ever complete without “Gram” – they will miss her dearly!
A woman of great faith, Lois was a lifelong, devout member of the former Saint Mary the Annunciation Lithuanian Church, Kingston. Following the closing of her church, she attended Mass with her family at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
In addition to her parents, Julius and Anna Rukstalis, and her husband, Joseph, Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Booth, who passed away on February 22, 2018; her brothers, John Rukstalis and Richard Rukstalis; and her sisters, Dorothy Heness and Joan Baranosky.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joanna Pechal and her fiancé, Michael Ciannilli, Harding; Lynn Krogulski and her husband, Joseph, West Wyoming; and Jennifer Maywood and her husband, David, Lakeville; her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Bodycomb, New Jersey; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
