Keith E. Pabst, 44, a resident of Taylor, passed into eternal life, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday afternoon, October 06, 2016, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, following a courageously fought battle with colon cancer.
Born on February 27, 1972, in Summit, New Jersey, Keith was one of three children born to Gail P. (Dieterle) Pabst, Luzerne, and the late Arthur “Artie” Pabst, who passed away on September 01, 2015.
Keith was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1990. Following high school, he went on to further his education at Penn State University, where he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Design/Construction Engineering.
Keith was a co-owner of Keystone Structural Group LLC. Prior to that, he was employed for many years by Highland Associates, Clarks Summit, and Reuther+Bowen, Dunmore.
First and foremost, Keith was an adoring and devoted father to his “sweetie”, Sydney. His world revolved around his daughter and he truly loved her with every ounce of his being.
Keith was also a loving and supportive son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of being a kind-hearted, caring gentleman who was always there for his family and friends.
Although Keith’s presence will be deeply missed, there is much peace in knowing he is free from all his suffering, and now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior whom he firmly placed his hope and trust in.
Keith’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and aides from the 6th Floor East Unit at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, most especially Dr. Robert Yanoshak, who went above and beyond the call of duty! They wish to also thank the team at Celtic Healthcare Hospice for not only treating Keith with the utmost dignity and respect, but for also comforting his family during his stay there.
In addition to his father, Artie Pabst, Keith was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Dieterle; and his paternal grandfather, Arthur Pabst.
In addition to his mother, Gail Pabst, Keith is survived by his beloved daughter and sweetie, Sydney Pabst; his brother, Shane Pabst and his wife, Christine, Kingston; his sister, Dawn Kolbicka and her husband, Todd, Hanover Township; his nieces, Madelyn Pabst, Sophia Pabst, and Kylee Kolbicka; his nephews, Todd Kolbicka Jr. and Benjamin Kolbicka; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Keith’s Funeral Service which will be celebrated on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Pastor Guy Giordano of Slocum Apostolic Chapel, Exeter, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
