On the Solemnity of All Souls, November 02, 2020, Kathleen M. Kuhar, 94, a resident of Swoyersville, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven, from the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Her beloved husband was the late Joseph M. Kuhar, who passed away on January 31, 2006. Together, Joseph and Kathleen shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on March 26, 1926, in Ticonderoga, New York, Kathleen was one of four children born to the late Arthur and Mable (Smith) Blowers.
Raised in Ticonderoga, New York, Kathleen attended Ticonderoga High School. She later furthered her education at Luzerne County Community College.
A homemaker all of her life, Kathleen devoted herself to taking care of her beloved husband and daughters.
Kathleen was a faithful Catholic and a longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, where she held membership with its Confraternity of Christian Mothers, serving as a past officer. Active within her church, she volunteered her time at countless church functions, most notably its annual bazaar. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Kathleen was a member of the United Cerebral Palsy Auxiliary, serving as its past president, and the Parent Teachers Association of the Day Development Program, Kingston. Additionally, she was an active member of the Forty Fort Bowling League for many years, and was a current member of the Swoyersville “Young at Heart” Card Club.
A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Kathleen will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Arthur and Mable Blowers, and her husband, Joseph, Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Ellen Kuhar, who passed away in 1943; and Sharon E. Kuhar, who passed away in 1994; and her brothers, Arthur Blowers, Kenneth Blowers, and Albert John Blowers.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Bryk and her husband Stephen, Dupont; Ronnie Kuhar, East Brunswick, New Jersey; and Patricia Kuhar, at home; her three grandchildren, Vivian Shimley; Lorraine Piechota; and Stephen Bryk Jr.; her seven great-grandchildren, Jamie Kephart; Aaron, Keith, and Jordan Shimley; Emily Bryk; Bailey and Nicole Piechota; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the nurses from Erwine Home Health and Hospice for the outstanding care they provided Kathleen and helping to make her final days peaceful and comfortable. In addition, the family extends their appreciation to the aides from Bayada Home Health Care for their support while caring for her daughter, Patricia.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday, November 06, 2020, at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.

Private Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
In accordance with Kathleen’s wishes, the viewing will be private for her immediate family.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
