Kathleen “Kay” Lewis Kutish, 95, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 27, 2015, at her home.Her beloved husband was the late Dr. Edward S. Kutish, VMD, who passed away on December 01, 1989.Born on March 09, 1920, in Plains, Kathleen was one of eight children born to the late Daniel William Lewis and Bridget Ann (Callahan) Lewis.Raised in Plains, Kay was a graduate of the former Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1938. Following high school, she went on to further her education at College Misericordia.Prior to her retirement, Kay was employed for forty-four years as a Veterinary Assistant to her husband, Dr. Edward S. Kutish, VMD, at his practice in Wilkes-Barre.Kay was an avid gardener who loved to supply her neighborhood with vegetables and flowers.She loved to travel, and her travels included a trip on the QE2 to Normandy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of D-Day. Kay also enjoyed football and was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan who attended the 1960 World Championship. She also had the opportunity to go to the 1995 Rosebowl to see Penn State University, where she had the opportunity to meet Joe Paterno. Most of all, she enjoyed having her family and friends to her home, where she would bake her delicious breads.In addition to her parents, Daniel and Bridget Lewis, and her husband, Dr. Edward, Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Francis Lewis, Jay Lewis, Daniel Lewis Ph.D., the Reverend Raymond P. Lewis C.M., and the Reverend Harry J. Lewis; her sisters, Sister Irma Lewis R.S.M., and Jane Lloyd.Kay is survived by her children, Lois Kutish, Trucksville; Richard Kutish and his wife, Ann, Mountaintop; Dr. Paul Kutish and his wife, Alice Rae, Kingston; and Joseph Kutish and his wife, Karen, Forty Fort; her six grandchildren, Christopher, Atlanta, Georgia; Taryn, Philadelphia; Stacey, Philadelphia; Matthew, Kingston; Russell and Vaughn Kutish, Forty Fort.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Friday, May 01, 2015, at 9:15 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in All Saints Roman Catholic Parish, 66 Willow Street, Plymouth, with the Reverend Robert J.
