Karen Lee Wiedlich, 69, a resident of Plymouth, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at her home.

The one true love of her life was the late Terrance F. “Terry” Wiedlich, who entered into eternal life on August 19, 2013. Terry and Karen were blessed to share 39 years of marriage, and their life together was full love, mutual affection, happiness, and laughter.

Born on July 24, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, Karen was one of two daughters born to the late John and Norma Grace (Kelly) Andrews.

Raised in Plymouth, Karen was a graduate of the former Plymouth High School, Class of 1965.

Prior to her retirement in 2011, Karen was employed for many years as a receptionist for Step-by-Step Inc., Wilkes-Barre.

For many years, Karen volunteered with Candy’s Place, Forty Fort, where she found great happiness in giving back to others. She was also an active member of the Nanticoke Senior Center where she enjoyed exercising and forging friendships with those she met there.

A woman of many enjoyments, Karen enjoyed taking day trips with her husband and friends, sharing lunch with her girlfriends and family, going to the movies with her husband and friends, playing checkers, and in her earlier years, fishing. Anyone who truly knew Karen will remember her love obsession with “Tweety Bird”!

Karen had a boundless love for her family. Her loved ones were truly the center of life and she treasured every moment she shared with them. Although her departure from this life leaves a void that could never be filled, there is much joy in knowing that she has rejoined her beloved Terry in paradise. Certainly, Terry was there to greet Karen with a warm embrace, a long kiss, a poem to serenade her soul, and most certainly a practical joke to keep her on her toes.

Karen is survived by her sister, Deborah “Debi” Cappellini and her companion, Joseph Lettieri, Old Forge; her nephews, Gifford Cappellini and his wife, Danielle, Katy, Texas; Ryan Cappellini, Allentown; and Justin Cappellini and his fiancée, Emily Lambrow, Philadelphia; her great-nephew, Brendon Cappellini; and her great-nieces, Adelyn and Julia Cappellini.

Also surviving are her step-son, Christopher Wiedlich, Wilkes-Barre; her step-grandson, Bradley Wiedlich, Wilkes-Barre; her sister-in-law, Mary Louise Musto Trzeciak and her husband, Bob, Mountaintop; her brothers-in-law, Herbert Wiedlich and his wife, Rose Yarmel, Plains Township; Paul T. Wiedlich Sr. and his wife, Mary Pat, Wilkes-Barre; and Fred Wiedlich and his wife, Debbie, West Wyoming; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews from the Wiedlich family; as well as her many dear friends and her beloved dogs, Jasmine and Mol Lee.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Karen’s Blessing Service which will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend James J. Alco, family friend, officiating.

Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, at the funeral home.
