Josephine “Jessie” Jagozinski, a longtime resident of Swoyersville, passed quietly into eternal life on Sunday morning, December 18, 2016, at the Mercy Center, Dallas, where she was recently a guest.
Her beloved husband was the late John J. Jagozinski, who passed away on September 08, 2015. Together, John and Jessie shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Josephine was one of seven children born to the late John and Veronica (Koznecki) Krenzel.
Raised in Wilkes-Barre, Jessie was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.
A homemaker most of her life, Jessie dedicated herself to tending to the daily needs of her home and family.
Jessie was a faithful Catholic and a past member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville, where for many years she held membership with the church’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Jessie was a talented artist and was known amongst her family and friends for her beautiful oil and acrylic paintings. She was also a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed quilting in her free time.
Family was the center of Jessie’s life and she truly treasured each and every moment she had with her loved ones. Although her presence will be deeply missed, she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, John and Veronica Krenzel, and her husband, John, Jessie was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Stanley Krenzel; and her sisters, Mary Magiera, Frances Zakrzeski, Anne Klepp, and Julia Krenzel-Zavislak.
Jessie is survived by her son, John Jagozinski and his wife, Jeanne, Swoyersville; her daughter, Barbara Morelli, Swoyersville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell and her husband, Patrick; and Jonathan Jagozinski; her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sarah Campbell; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at 10:00 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday morning, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, at the funeral home.
