Joseph T. Leonard, 57, a resident of Dallas, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, September 06, 2021, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
His loving wife is Jane (Powell) Leonard. Together, Joe and Jane celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on July 21st.
Born on December 29, 1963, in Kingston, Joseph was the son of Susan Christian Leonard, of Plains Township.
Joe was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1981. He went on to further his education at Penn State University where he acquired his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Since 2007, Joe was the owner and operator of PTL Mitigation and Restoration LLC, Wilkes-Barre.
A man of faith, Joe was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas.
Joe had many enjoyments in life especially playing tennis, target shooting, and cheering on his beloved Penn State. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband and a loyal father to his three girls. He was proud of each of his daughters’ accomplishments and he never missed any of their sporting events or functions – he was truly was their biggest fan! His presence will be missed beyond measure and his legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
In addition to his wife, Jane, and his mother, Susan, Joe is survived by his three daughters, Michelle Leonard, Wilkes-Barre; Jennifer Leonard, Dallas; and Melissa Leonard, Dallas; his sister, Lynn Leonard, New Hope; his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joe’s viewing which will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 9:45 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Gate of Heaven Church, 40 Machell Avenue, Dallas, with the Reverend Andrew S. Hvozdovic, Pastor, officiating.
