Joseph J. Kolojejchick, 76, a resident of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday, June 06, 2024, in Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, after a brief illness.
Born March 07, 1948, in Kingston, Joseph was the son of the late Michael L. Kolojejchick, Sr., and Mary Major Kolojejchick.
Joseph was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1965. He went on to receive his nursing degree from King’s County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. He was a Recovery Nurse at Mercy Hospital, Miami, for 30 years, and the last 20 years of his career were spent as an Endoscopy/Colonoscopy Nurse at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston.
Joseph was a member of Saint Mary’s Church, Boston, Massachusetts, where he served as a Eucharist Minister.
His passions were cooking, dancing, traveling extensively across Europe, and his love of socializing and making sure he kept in touch with extended family.
Joseph is survived by his spouse of 20 years, and partner in life of 50 years, Jeffrey Lapin, Boston; brothers, Michael Kolojejchick, Jr. and his wife, Jean, Dallas; James Kolojejchick and his wife, Doreen, Larksville; nephew, Matt Kolojejchick and his wife, Breana, Atlanta, Georgia; and niece, Kelsey (Kolojejchick) Usefara and husband, Jon, Lewisburg, and great niece, Nylah.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with a Blessing Service to commence at 12:00 PM. Deacon John F. Bankus, Permanent Deacon of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Polish Cemetery, West Wyoming.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Saint Mary’s Church, Boston, Massachusetts.
