Joseph E. Balent, 94, a lifelong resident of Swoyersville, passed away on Sunday morning, August 07, 2022, at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Kingston, where he was a guest for the past month.
His wife of 45 years was the late Marion Hutsko Balent, who passed away on November 30, 1995.
Born on November 11, 1927, in Swoyersville, Joseph was the son of the late Michael Balent and Veronica Sitar Balent.
A United States Navy veteran, Joseph honorably served his country as a Seaman 1st Class.
Throughout his life, Joseph was employed as a welder, and also by the former Rea & Derrick Drug Store, Wyoming.
A lifelong member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, Joseph was now a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.

Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort. A private Funeral Mass was celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, followed by burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.
