John J. Parini, 71, a resident of Plymouth, passed into eternal life on Saturday evening, September 25, 2021, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Inpatient Unit, Dunmore, following a valiant battle with cancer.
His beloved wife was the late Joann M. (Rock) Parini, who passed away on September 07, 2018.
Born on September 28, 1949, in Wilkes-Barre, John was one of five children born to the late James and Lenore (Baigis) Parini.
Raised in Exeter, John was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1968.
John honorably served his country with the Army National Guard.
Prior to his retirement, John was employed for over 40 years as a driver for the Luzerne County Transit Authority.
John was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.
A man of many enjoyments, John especially enjoyed working on electronics, and listening to music and playing music.
John is survived by his three children, Andrea Morgan and her husband, Arthur, Kingston; John Paul Parini and his wife, Frankie, Sweet Valley; and Michael Parini and his wife, Rachael, Abingdon, Maryland; his four grandchildren, Jason, Thessaly, Ryan, and Kora; his brothers, James Parini and his wife, Debbie, Port Richie, Florida; and Gerard Parini and his wife, Patricia, Sterling; his sisters, Cheryl Patrick, Exeter; and Lori Raymond and her husband, Gene, West Wyoming; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to John’s friends, Carl Novak, Ralph Hulsizer, and Bill Smaltz, for their constant support of John.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 10:15 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in All Saints Parish, 66 Willow Street, Plymouth, with the Reverend Jacek J. Bialkowski, his Pastor, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be offered at the conclusion of the funeral Mass.
Interment will immediately follow the funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Exeter.
Family and Friends are invited to attend John’s viewing which will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM, at the funeral home.
