Jeryl “Jerry” Hoeppner, 65, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, December 07, 2014, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.His loving wife is Linda (Pisano) Hoeppner. Together, Jerry and Linda celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on September 1st.Born on October 02, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, Jerry was the son of the late Floyd Ray Wright and Laverne (Adair) Wright Hoeppner. Jerry was the step-son of the late George John Hoeppner.Jerry was a graduate of the “School of Hard Knocks” and “Hoeppner University”!Prior to his retirement, Jerry was employed for over twenty years by O & M Multi-Trade, Jessup. He was a 45 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542, District 3, Wilkes-Barre.Jerry had a passion for classic cars and was a partner with his friends, Mark Costello and Ross Piazza, in the former Coventry Restorations, Wyoming, where they specialized in restoring classic cars.A man of faith, Jerry was a member of Stella Presbyterian Church, Forty Fort. He also held membership with the F&AM, Landmark Lodge 442, Wilkes-Barre.Jerry had the opportunity to live in many different places throughout his life, namely, Fort Worth, Texas; Denver, Colorado; San Francisco, California; El Paso, Texas; Pasadena, California; Louisiana; Scranton; Dunmore; Wilkes-Barre; and finally, Swoyersville.Jerry leaves behind the best kid he ever had, a loving wife, a devoted kitty, numerous classic cars in the barn, a beautiful new library of his own design and construction, a brand new Ford Fusion, and a multitude of books.In addition to his wife, Linda, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Amy Miller and her husband, Michael, Macungie; his brothers, Kevin Hoeppner and his wife, Jeannie, Lake Ariel; Randy Hoeppner and his wife, Kimberly, Big Springs, Texas; and Gov Hoeppner, Swoyersville; his mother-in-law, Irene (Kuzemka) Pisano, Swoyersville; and his nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and his beloved cat, Cloudy.Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Thursday evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and again in Friday morning, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.Jerry’s Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend William Lukesh, Pastor of Stella Presbyterian Church, officiating.For additional information or to send the Hoeppner Family an online message of condolence, you may visit the funeral home web-site www.wroblewskifuneralhome.com.In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s memory to Friends of Gettysburg, P.O.
