Jane Ann Sapack, 93, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life on Saturday morning, April 06, 2024, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Her beloved husband was the late Bernard “Bart” Sapack who passed away on January 21, 1998. Together, Bart and Jane shared 35 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on June 01, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, Jane was the daughter of the late Jerome A. Walsh and Florence M. Clark Walsh.
Raised in Wilkes-Barre, Jane was a graduate of the former James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1948.
A full-time mom for much of her life, Jane was employed by Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Forty Fort Blouse before raising her children.
Jane was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, holding membership with the parish choir for decades. She volunteered her time at many church functions, including its annual bazaar where she volunteered in the “Face Painting” booth and at the rummage sale.
For decades, Jane was an ardent volunteer with the Pennsylvanians for Human Life at the Pro-Life Center, Wilkes-Barre, most notably offering her time with the preparation and execution of its annual Mother’s Day Carnation Sales. She also attended the March for Life in Washington D.C. several times.
Left to cherish Jane’s memory are her six devoted children, Bernard Sapack and his wife, Tamara, Woodbridge, Virginia; Greg Sapack and his wife, Linda, Swoyersville; Joseph Sapack, Swoyersville; Daniel Sapack and his wife, Mary, Swoyersville; Patrick Sapack and his wife, Jessica, Baltimore, Maryland; and Paul Sapack, Del City, Oklahoma; her six grandchildren, Noah Orlandini-Sapack and his wife, Becky; Sydnee Sapack; Sierra Sapack; Angela Sapack; Tristan Sapack; and Julia Sapack; and her sister, Mary Langan and her two children, Tony and Joyce.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Father John J. Chmil, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jane’s viewing which will be held on Friday, April 12 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
