Irene ‘Tootsie’ Wills, a resident of Kingston, passed quietly into eternal life on Friday, October 17, 2025, in the comfort of her home, just two weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday with family and friends.
Her beloved husband of nearly 55 years was the late Edmund R. Wills, who passed away on May 25, 2003.
Born on October 03, 1925, in Swoyersville, Irene was one of ten children born to the late Frank Damsky and Mary Koscho Damsky.
Raised in Kingston, Irene was a graduate of the former Kingston High School, Class of 1944.
A loving homemaker, Irene dedicated most of her life to tending to the daily needs of her family.
Irene was a woman of deep faith and was a longtime member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, Kingston and its Mary’s Ministry.
In addition to her parents, Frank and Mary Damsky, and her husband, Edmund, Irene was preceded in death by her beloved son, Raymond F. Wills, who passed away on February 28, 1999; her brothers, Frank, William, George, and Joseph Damsky; and her sisters, Margaret Daley, Helen McHugh, Dorothy Davis, Josephine Steinberg, and Wilma Damsky.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah Butkiewicz, with whom Irene resided; Barbara Jean Holden, Florida; and Diane Coalson, Nebraska; her four grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 9:30 AM, from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, 339 North Maple Avenue, Kingston, with Monsignor David L. Tressler, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pringle.
Family and friends are invited to attend Irene’s viewing which will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at the funeral home.
