Hilda Kishel, 88, a resident of Exeter, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2014, at the Partridge-Tippett Nursing Facility of the Wesley Village Campus, Jenkins Township, following a brief illness.
Her loving husband is Joseph F. Kishel. Joseph and Hilda were blessed to share over 60 years of marriage.
Born on January 27, 1926, in Luzerne, Hilda was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Bronsberg) Mussel.
Raised in Luzerne, Hilda was a graduate of the former Luzerne High School.
A homemaker most of her life, Hilda devoted herself to tending to the daily needs of her home and family.
Hilda had many enjoyments in life, especially gardening and playing bridge. Her greatest enjoyment by far was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her presence will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Frank and Catherine Mussel, Hilda was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron, in March of 1991 and her brothers, Robert, Francis and Edmund Mussel.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, Hilda is survived by her children, Kathryn Landau and her husband Charles, Chandler, North Carolina; Joseph Kishel and his wife Virginia, Basking Ridge, New Jersey; Jeff Kishel and his wife Melissa, Miami, Florida; MaryJo Donvito and her husband Frank, Exeter; her grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Nathaniel, Jacob, Catherine, Jacqueline, Kaitlyn, Chloe, Joshua and Nicole; her nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services for Hilda will be held for the immediate family.
