Helen Stesney, 93, a resident of both Lighthouse Point, Florida and Swoyersville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, November 02, 2024, at VITAS Hospice Inpatient Unit at Broward Health, Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Her loving husband is Bernard L. Stesney. Together, Bernard and Helen shared 67 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on August 19, 1931, in Swoyersville, Helen was one of four children born to the late Joseph Hudick and Mary Kovalick Hudick.
Raised in Swoyersville, Helen was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1949.
A devoted homemaker most of her life, Helen was employed in her earlier years by Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Wilkes-Barre; the U.S. Map Service, Washington D.C.; and the Home Insurance Company, New York City.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Mary Hudick, Helen was preceded in death by her two sisters, Marie Dziadosz and Anna Hudick.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bernard; her brother, Joseph Hudick and his wife, Mary Ann, Mountain Top; as well as generations of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Helen’s viewing which will be held on Saturday, November 09, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort. A Blessing Service will commence at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend Father John J. Chmil, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, officiating.
Private Interment will immediately follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
