Helen Kukish, 96, a resident of Wesley Village’s Personal Care Home, Jenkins Township, since 2014, and formerly of Washington Avenue, West Wyoming, passed into eternal life on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Her beloved husband was the late Frank V. Kukish, who passed away on July 13, 2013. Frank and Helen were blessed to share 62 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on October 30, 1926, in Larksville, Helen was one of six children, and the only daughter born to the late Stanley Holko and Julia Dzietcyk Holko.
Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed for many years as a ticket agent for Martz Trailways, Wilkes-Barre.
A woman of great faith, Helen was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, Stanley and Julia Holko, and her husband, Frank Kukish, Helen was preceded in death by her five brothers, John, Stanley, Felix, Joseph, and Edward Holko.
Left to cherish Helen’s memory are her son, Richard Kukish and his wife, Judy, Topeka, Kansas; as well as generations of nieces and nephews.
A private family Blessing Service will be celebrated by the Reverend Father Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dallas.
