Helen E. Krosofski, 89, formerly of Stock Avenue, Swoyersville, passed into eternal life early Sunday morning, January 08, 2017, at Kingston Manor Personal Care Center, Kingston.
Her beloved husband was the late Michael C. Krosofski, who passed away on December 28, 2000. Together, Helen and Michael shared 39 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on August 16, 1927, in Edwardsville, Helen was one of four children born to the late Andrew and Mary (Dubiel) Dolecki.
Helen was a graduate of the former Edwardsville High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1993, Helen was employed by the Social Security Administration, Wilkes-Barre, as a data processing clerk. In her earlier years she worked in the office of the former Blue Ribbon Bakery, Kingston.
A faithful Catholic, Helen was a longtime member of the former Saint Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, Kingston. Following the closing of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, Andrew and Mary Dolecki, and her husband, Michael, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Edward Dolecki; and her sister, Florence Dolecki.
Helen is survived by her niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
At Helen’s request, there will be no public viewing.
