Geralyn Mary Kemmerer, 61, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away on Sunday morning, November 19, 2017, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 25, 1956, in Wilkes-Barre, Geralyn was the daughter of Rita (Casper) Kemmerer, Swoyersville, and the late Eugene F. Kemmerer, who passed away on September 21, 2003.
Geralyn was a graduate of the former Central Catholic High School, Kingston, and was also a graduate of Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke.
Prior to her retirement on July 1st, Geralyn was employed for many years by J.C. Penney Department Store, Wilkes-Barre.
Geralyn was an avid and versatile crafter who could make nearly anything. She gifted many quilts, afghan’s, and cross-stitched pieces to her family and friends. She loved to cook and bake, and was generous to a fault.
In addition to her mother, Rita Kemmerer, Geralyn is survived by her son, Gerard and his wife, Amy; her three grandsons, Ethan, Bryan, and Noah; her brother, Eugene and his wife, Kathie; and her three nieces and one nephew.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Courtdale.
