Faye A. Kirkpatrick, 58, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday morning, March 11, 2019, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Her loving husband is Joseph Kirkpatrick. Joseph and Faye celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on October 07, 2018.
Born on April 30, 1960, in Scranton, Faye was the daughter of the late Jerome Gilgallon and Mary Lou (Smith) Downend.
Faye was a graduate of Dallas High School, Class of 1978, and she was employed for over 40 years by InterMetro Industries Corporation, Wilkes-Barre.
A woman of many enjoyments, Faye especially enjoyed gardening around her home; traveling with her husband; and cheering on her favorite team, Notre Dame. Above all, Faye’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, Jerome Gilgallon and Mary Lou Downend, Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Downend; and her sister-in-law, Alice Aregood.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, Faye is survived by her sisters, Diane Kohli and her husband, Greg, Dallas; and Sharon Hawke and her husband, Tim, Vernon; her sisters-in-law, Marianne Guido, Kingston; Mickey Maloney, Wilkes-Barre; Karen Sorber and her husband, Ed, Forty Fort; and Laura Pugh and her husband, Bob; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Faye’s memorial service which will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Deacon Robert Thomas, officiating.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation which will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
