Evie Lee Lacy, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, October 23, 2014, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.Mrs. Lacy was born in Pickens County, Alabama, in 1923. In 1945, she and her husband, Henry Ballard, moved to Detroit, Michigan, where Evie Lee worked for General Motors until her retirement in 1980, when they returned to Alabama.Mr. Ballard died in 1980. In 1983, she was remarried to Ed Lacy, becoming a resident of Albertville, Alabama, where she maintained a lifelong membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., and was an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She lived there until 2012.Mrs. Lacy is survived by her daughter, Sherron, and son-in-law, Jim Bisagni, of Shavertown; her grandson, Jay Cornell and his wife, Marcy; and her great-grandchildren, Emily, Henry and Julia.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Evie’s viewing which will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM to be celebrated by Pastor David Miklas, pastor of Green Street Baptist Chapel, Edwardsville.Evie will return to her home state of Alabama where a Funeral Service will be held.
