Emelda Oldack, 91, a former resident of West Wyoming, passed into eternal life on Wednesday afternoon, January 19, 2022, at Allied Services – Meade Street Skilled Nursing Unit, Wilke-Barre.
Her beloved husband was the late Joseph G. Oldack, who passed away on December 22, 2019.
Born on May 17, 1930, in West Wyoming, Emelda was one of four children born to the late Stephen and Mary (Bohac) Decker.
Raised in West Wyoming, Emelda was a graduate of the former West Wyoming High School, and prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress by the M.K. Dress Factory and Small Town Manufacturing, both formerly of West Wyoming.
A woman of great faith, Emelda was a member of Saint Monica’s Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming.
Emelda had many enjoyments in life, especially cooking and baking for her loved ones, and gardening around her home. Above all, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Stephen and Mary Decker, and her husband, Joseph, Emelda was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Decker; and her sisters, Mary Ann Decker and Madaline Decker.
Emelda is survived by her son, Stephen J. Oldack and his wife, Connie, Kingston; her granddaughter, Lynn Albertelli and her husband, Brett, Pittston Township; and her great-grandchildren, Nina and Brooke Albertelli, both of Pittston Township; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be privately held for the immediate family.
Interment will be in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
