Eleanor Hann, 89, a resident of Kingston, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Her beloved husband was the late Richard Hann, who passed away on July 09, 1989. Together, Richard and Eleanor shared 40 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on June 22, 1929, in Kingston, Eleanor was one of eight children born to the late Steven and Susan (Brunsko) Brdaric.
Eleanor was raised in Luzerne, and was a graduate of the former Luzerne High School.
Prior to her retirement, Eleanor was employed in the local garment industry. She held membership with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Eleanor had a strong, abiding faith in the Lord, and she was a longtime member of the Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, Kingston. Additionally, she held membership with the Red Hat Society.
Eleanor enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as knitting and crocheting; polka dancing with her husband; fishing every chance she could; going on her family’s annual trip to Long Beach Island; and over the past few months, coloring.
Family was truly the center of Eleanor’s life and she treasured every moment she had with her loved ones. Her family will forever remember her for her total trust in God; her strong will; her inspiring presence; and her gentle smile which brightened their days.
In addition to her parents, Steven and Susan Brdaric, and her husband, Richard Hann, Eleanor was preceded in death by her grandson, Samuel Yankay; her brothers, Steven, Mickey, and John Brdaric; and her sisters, Marion Evans, Susan Ciehoski, and Pauline Konopka.
Eleanor is survived by her four children, Richard Hann and his wife, Denise, South Daytona, Florida; Bruce Hann and his wife, Jackie, Trucksville; Susan Yankay, Forty Fort; and Jeff Hann and his partner, Carol Michalek, Kingston; her son-in-law, Thomas Yankay, Swoyersville; her grandchildren, Bruce Hann and his wife, Darlinda; Chris Hann and his wife, Erica; Karen Hann; Tracey Gorham; and Thomas Yankay and his partner, Kim; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Hadsall; Arionna, Cameron, and Emma Rose Hann; Cole, Jack, Noah, and Gracen Gorham; her sister, Milly Pipan, Dallas; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend Dennis Gray, Pastor of Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
Family and Friends are invited to Eleanor’s viewing which will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday morning, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.

Although Eleanor loved flowers, she would ask that in lieu of flowers, that you spend time with your loved ones…no matter if you take a walk and enjoy nature, grab a pole and go fishing, color with your grandchildren, or simply spend a few quiet moments enjoying each other’s company, just enjoy the simple pleasures in life with those you love the most!
