Elaine Martha (Yurko) Satkowski, 58, of Saint Augustine, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, due to injuries sustained from being struck by an automobile in Saint Augustine, Florida.
Born on March 15, 1959, in Wilkes-Barre, Elaine was the daughter of Theresa (Saypack) Yurko, Forty Fort, and the late George J. Yurko, who passed away on July 05, 2002.
Raised in West Wyoming, Elaine was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1977, and attended West Side Vo-Tech during high school.
Prior to moving to Florida, Elaine was employed by Suburban Publishers, Exeter, and Morrison Custom Management, Kingston.
Elaine was a longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, now consolidated into Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her father, George Yurko, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Satkowski; and her uncles, Frank Saypack Sr. and John Saypack Jr.
In addition to her mother, Theresa Yurko, Elaine is survived by her son, Dwayne Satkowski; her two grandchildren, Isaiah and Eva Satkowski; her twin sister, Lorraine LaBare and her husband, Paul, Saint Augustine, Florida; her sister, Susan Yurko Bayer, Forty Fort; her one nephew and three nieces; as well as her many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 9:30 AM, from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in the Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
