Edward R. Stacy, 93, a guest of the Meadows Manor, Dallas, and a seventy-year resident of New Jersey, passed into eternal life on Thursday morning, April 04, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
His beloved wife was the late Louise J. Cebrick Stacy, who passed away on December 30, 2019. Together, Ed and Louise shared 68 beautiful years of marriage.
Born Edward R. Staskiewicz on December 15, 1930, Edward was the son of the late Edward Staskiewicz and Christine Cebrick Staskiewicz.
A United States Army Air Force veteran, Edward honorably served his country as a private first class following World War II.
Prior to his retirement, Ed was employed by General Motors at their former manufacturing plant in Clark, New Jersey.
A man of strong faith, Ed was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside, New Jersey.
In addition to his parents, Edward and Christine, and his wife, Louise, Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Ann Stacy, on August 18, 2001; and his son, Glenn S. Stacy, on May 26, 2014.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna Mauriello and her husband, Bob, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey; his son, Edward C. Stacy, Plainfield, New Jersey; his three grandchildren, Alexandra Mauriello, Angelina Mauriello, and Zachary Vitanzo, all of New Jersey; generations of nieces and nephews from the Cebrick family; as well as close family friends, Yvonne Kast Cuzzolino and her husband, Greg, and Yvonne’s children, Kevin Kast, Ashleigh Kast, Christopher Kast, and Samantha Kast-Bouchard.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ed’s viewing which will be held on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Saint Therese Church, 64 Davis Street, Shavertown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Father Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dallas, where Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force.
Funeral arrangements for Ed have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
