Dr. Lloyd E. Eslinger, D.O., aged 90, died Saturday October 3rd.
Born in Allentown, PA on September 3, 1925 to Henry G. and Viola (Herbster) Eslinger.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris (Bogusko) Eslinger; Richard (Karen) of MI; Dr. Robert (Lindell) of NV; Gary (John, predeceased) of PA; Dr. Thomas (Florence) of ME; Daniel (Jodi) of PA; Donna (Wm Barry) Harris of PA; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Richard.
Lloyd served in the USMC during WWII and received the Purple Heart during the Battle for Okinowa in 1945.
He was past chairman of Northampton Board of Health, past Director of Northampton Hospital, and past Vice Chairman of Allentown Osteopathic Hospital. He had a family medical practice in Northampton from 1953 to 1990.
Visiting hours will be held in the St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, PA on Thursday, October 8th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
Burial will be at Assumption – Blessed Virgin Mary Church Cemetery on Cherryville Rd in Northampton, PA.
