Dorothy Jevin Whitecavage, 83, formerly of Hemlock Street, Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2014, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice, Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.Born on May 24, 1931, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Bailey) Watson.Raised and educated in Battle Creek, Michigan, Dorothy moved to Pennsylvania with her husband, Andrew Jevin, who passed away in 1966. In 1972, Dorothy married Thomas C. Whitecavage, who passed away on September 20, 2012, after nearly 40 years of marriage.For many years, Dorothy was employed as a secretary for the Magisterial District 11-01-06, Swoyersville, and later was employed as a secretary for V.N.A Home Health and Hospice, Kingston, retiring from there.Dorothy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Celtic Healthcare Hospice for the excellent care they bestowed upon Dorothy during her time of need.Dorothy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ruth Jevin; her son, Michael Jevin; her brother, Thomas Watson; and her sister, Jill Dillard.Dorothy is survived by her children, Barbara Krupsha and her husband, George, West Pittston; John Jevin and his wife, Sue, Franklin, Tennessee; and Robert Jevin and his wife, Phyllis, Orlando, Florida; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Giles Watson, Patricia Watson and Caroline Nichols, all of Michigan; her many nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Dorothy’s Blessing Service which will be celebrated on Friday, November 28, 2014, at 10:30 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend James J.
