Dorothy B. Zelasko Biely, 92, formerly of Maltby Avenue and Lackawanna Avenue, Swoyersville, passed peacefully into eternal life on Thursday afternoon, February 04, 2021, at the Gardens at East Mountain, Wilkes-Barre.
Her first husband was the late Edward J. Zelasko, who passed away on March 21, 1983, and together they shared 32 years of marriage. Her second husband was the late Edward S. (Bieley) Biely, who passed away on September 17, 2016, and together they shared 26 years of marriage.
Born on March 24, 1928, in Wilkes-Barre Township, Dorothy was one of four children born to the late Joseph and Regina (Bosek) Tesik.
A homemaker most of her life, Dorothy lovingly tended to the daily needs of her beloved family.
Dorothy was a woman of great faith, and was a longtime member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Regina Tesik, her first husband, Edward Zelasko, and her second husband, Edward Biely, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Vincent Tesik; and her sister, Eleanor Carbone.
Dorothy is survived by her two children, Diane M. Stanley and her husband, David, Hudson; and Edward J. Zelasko Jr., Shavertown; her three grandchildren, Brianna Stanley Kowalchik and her husband, Robert; Chelsy Zelasko; and Mitchell Zelasko and his wife, Haylie; her two great-grandsons, Cooper and Carson Kowalchik; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family viewing and funeral service was held on Tuesday. A Blessing Service was celebrated by the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Interment with the Rite of Committal followed in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
